Blues guitarist Dennis McClung
wanted every local child to have a Christmas. And he had an idea
.....
To raise money for the
Salvation Army Angel Tree Project,
he happily and excitedly raffled off .....
a 1963 Vintage Reissue Fender
American-Made Stratocaster
from his personal collection. |
Here he is with his[well, it used to be
his :)] guitar.
In addition, the Dennis McClung Blues Band headlined a Benefit
Concert
on Sunday - December 15, at the Fairmont Theater in Fairmont,
WV.
The Concert included other local musicians and bands as well
.....
such as "Sixty Dollars" and Morgantown's own "Bullfrog".
The winning ticket for the guitar was drawn at the show , and
the winner of the guitar was Chris Cooke.
Congratulations Chris!!
All proceeds went directly to the Salvation Army Angel Tree
Project.

Thank you, Dennis, for showing us
all what it means to really care.
Who knows, maybe, just maybe ..... some
other musicians ..... maybe even .....
a whole lot of other musicians will take a cue from your
thoughtfulness .....!
Many thanks to everyone for their support of the "For The Angels
Benefit"
on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Fairmont Theater. With your help, the
bands
raised $2,560.00 for kids who otherwise would
not have a Christmas.
Thank you all for making the benefit concert a truly beautiful
event. |
And here's the happy(and proud) new
owner,
Chris Cooke, receiving his Strat from Dennis.
Cheers to the both of them!
And to all the rest of you musicians and singers ....
Now It's Your Turn!
